The principal lighthouse for Tokyo Bay in Yokosuka since 1869 built here, Kannonzaki. (* ॑꒳ ॑* )⋆* Before it, there was in Uraga near by Kurihama. The light was used with rapeseed oil and Japanese shoji windows, and now alternated with Fresnel lends tech. from France.

Glass lens is very heavy, and a very strong lamp expenses over electric power. These are not realistic for the lighthouse. Then, the feature of Fresnel lens is by the prisms of lens expanding lights for some kilo-meters. So, smaller and less electric power for the lighthouse.
