In 1853, 4 black ship commanders had come on Kurihama and parental constructed with U.S. The Feudal era police NAKAJIMA had Susquehanna Ship to research skills of ship-building from it. With it, he'd constructed Ho-o-Maru, the first Western ship in Japan. The ship was used to transporting for old shogunate. The Hinomaru Flag was used first in Japan, to prove the Japanese ship to the other country.

Tokugawa shogunate had bought the Kanrinmaru ship in Netherlands and reformed in Uraga. In 1860, Kaishu KATSU and Yukichi FUKUZAWA departed Uraga and had been America by Kanrinmaru to ratify the Japan-U.S. Treaty. On the way, they met the terrible storm, the sailing was so dangerous. After ratification, it was hell also in Japan. The old Tokugawa shogunate is to defeated by the new Japan government cause by unstable nation between Japan and U.S. The price of rice had been too expensive to sell. After 1867, Kanrinmaru had sailed with total 8 commanders to Hakodate to save from the new Japan government. However, robbed by the government on the way. In 1871, Kanrinmaru had been sunk by storm.

It should be true that they were won the war, old Japanese prototype had changed to the alternative way at all...
